Check Point Certification Practice Exams
This is the most complete updated directory of companies that sell practice exams to help you prepare for the Check Point certification exams. Some of them hire authors to prepare the questions and answers, others simply get a hold of copies of the actual Check Point exams and sell those.
Review Criteria:
In an attempt to make your decision-maguide easier, I’ve subjected each of these sites to a quick review.
These are the sorts of things that tend to earn a site a higher rating:
Practice exams synchronized with the current Check Point exams (learn about current exams here). There’s a big difference between “156-210″ and “156-210.4″.
Minimal amounts of disruptive advertising or animations
The site offers logical navigation
The site actually sells practice exams, rather than acting as a link farm for affiliate programs
An explanation of what you’re getting, rather than an immediate push to “Add to cart”
These are the sorts of things that tend to earn a site a lower rating:
Out-of-date practice exams, or practice exams for discontinued tests
Lots of disruptive advertising
Confusing navigation
Link farming or being just a source for affiliate programs
Bad web design, including way too many colors, way too much clutter, and disruptive animation

Conclusions:
An awful lot of people apparently have this fantasy that it’s easy to put up a web site for technical certifications and make lots of money on link referrals and advertising. Many seem to follow the same guide book: too many colors, pages that are way too “busy”, lots of photos of pretty women wearing telephone headsets, out-of-date practice exams, and excessive link farming.
Based on the results of my review, I’ve partitioned the sites into three broad self-explanatory categories: Superior, Acceptable, and Lame.
Please note: these are reviews of the web sites of the companies selling the practice exams, not reviews of the practice exams themselves. Given that the majority of the sites earned a lame rating, let’s learn to walk before we run.
