The NetApp Hardware Fundamentals course is a self-paced course is designed for individuals who have extensive hardware system background but are new to NetApp products. The fundamentals course will provide generic information regarding NetApp FRU components, data process flow, basic maintenance commands, disk identification and assignment, and diagnostics and troubleshooting.

Course Objectives:
Describe the function of key hardware components in a NetApp system.
Describe how NetApp systems store and serve data under normal circumstances and when a shutdown occurs.
Remove and replace NetApp system FRUs given access to the NOW site, flyers, and other supporting documentation.
Run diagnostics, observe LED status and console messages, and communicate results when specifically directed by NetApp Global Services (NGS).
