A. Programs periodically retire exams related to previous versions of products, particularly if there is a need for content revision due to over-exposure or the product becoming outdated.
Q. What will happen to my certification when these certifications have been retired?
A. All BEA Certified individuals will retain their credentials even if their certification track is retired. They will continue to receive market recognition for their BEA certifications. A. No, only one designation is needed per certification; however you can choose to receive more than one designation.
Q. If I specialize in an application framework using open-source technology within the Certified Developer role, how and when do I receive this designation?
A. Upon successfully completing the requirements you will receive this designation. If you complete the specialization requirement after you have received your Certified Developer: WebLogic Server 9 certificate and title, the certification program office will send you a new certification certificate reflecting the appropriate “specialist” designation.

Please note that the specializations will not be continued with the Oracle Certification Program. Candidates may obtain BEA specializations until November 30, 2008. Q. If I am a BEA Partner what path should I take to achieve certification now that you have introduced the BEA Support Certification program?
A. AA. Any BEA partners requesting to deliver Level 1 support is required to pass the BEA Support Associate Certification. For Level 2 support, BEA Support Professional Certification is required.

Please note: The BEA Certified Support Associate: BEA WebLogic Server 9/10 and BEA Certified Support Professional: BEA WebLogic Server 9/10 will not be continued under the Oracle Certification Program. Candidates may obtain these BEA Support certifications until November 30, 2008. ALL requirements MUST be completed by November 30, 2008 in order to obtain one of these certifications. They will not be available after that date. On December 1, 2008, the BEA Certified Support Associate and Professional paths will be retired.
Q. Am I required to successfully complete all phases of the BEA SOA Enterprise Architecture program to be certified?
A. Upon successful completion of all three phases of the SOA Enterprise Architecture Certification program you will be awarded “BEA SOA Enterprise Architect” certification status.
