  Hi guys,
  I try to register my VCP410 exam with VUE. Under date selection i could not select any date prior to 31th August 2009. When i wrote to VUE support i recieve this response:

  Dear Albin,
  Thank you for your email.
  The VCP410 exam is not available to take until 31st August. There for you will not find any dates for this exam prior to that date.

  What a hell? Who is playing games with us again? VMware? VUE? I’m pretty much angry now.
  And the best of all is that VUE have date 8th August as publically availabile date on their page VMware Testing with Pearson VUE

  The first date that I hear was 31th august.
  Now on http://mylearn1.vmware.com/portals/certification/ the date is 8th (but I’m quite sure that was 31th some week before).
  Beta period is already closed, so it could be that official exam start some week before.

  Try to wait a week and maybe change also on VUE site.

  Andre, if you also check VMware Partner Central you will se updated VCP410 status.

  VCP 4 EXAM UPDATE: The VCP on vSphere 4 (VCP 4) exam will be available publicly on August 1st, 2009. If you want to start preparing, the VCP4 Exam Blueprint is available.

  All,

  The exam is open for registration beginning August 8th, which is reflected on the Certification page on the VMware website. This means you can register with VUE to take the exam. However, the first date you can actually take the exam is dependent on the time needed to process the results of the beta, so if you are seeing a date further out, they are allowing time for that. Once the exam is actually posted in their system, I imagine new schedule dates will become available between the 8th and the 31st.

  so why can i already register for exam now (22.07.2009) if registration will be opened 8th of august or by Partner Central 1st of August?

  Penic,

  I assume because VUE has enough information about the exam to start taguide registrations now, they are. Since they know we will have the exam ready early August, they probably figured that they could just open registration now but set dates pretty far out just in case. That being said, once the 8th gets here we will probably start seeing some additional dates between then and the 31st become available.

  Folks – there is a process involved here. We have to evaluate and process the Beta results (which will happen next week). Then, VUE has to publish the form, a process that I have seen take 1-2 weeks. If it takes a week, then the exam will be ready by the 8th and some dates pretty close to that should become available. If it takes two weeks, then some dates between mid August and the 31st should become available. The only part I can personally tell you for sure is that the beta results will be processed by the end of next week.

  Hi,

  I’ve finally managed to have some spare time and am taguide the plunge doing the VCP-310 certification and planning on the doing the exam on 15th June.

  I attended the 5 Day Fast Track back in Dec. We didnt get the funding at work to setup VmWare so i’ve not had much exposure to it other than evaluating it using some spare servers and the course material.

  I’ve been through all the course material again and going through it again but what else should i go through in preparation for the exam.

  People mentioned the all important Configuration Maximums for VI3 but what else?

  Hello everybody,
  Is there someone that already has passed on VCP 410 Exam?
  I’ve checked that there’s only this course on the VMWARE authorized centers.
  Is there any vce to VCP 410 Exam?
  I really would like to do this exam, but I’m a little bit afraid, ’cause there isn’t too much material and I can’t to find any VCE about it.
  They informed me that I have to do a course before I get the VCP Certification and its price is USD 2600.

  Is this true?
